Benefits of using Kamiyasu on a backing board

By attaching the Kamiyasu to a backing board, the file becomes cushioned and "flexible." This allows you to file evenly over the entire surface, even on a slightly wavy surface.

files are good for creating sharp surfaces and making edges, but they have no cushioning, so they cannot neatly join surfaces that are slightly wavy.By using a

▼Difference with the 10mm Kamidasu
The 10mm Kamidasu is more convenient for fine details, but when it comes to "smoothing the surface", it is easier to use a Kamidasu attached to a backing board. It is also less likely to distort the edge when smoothing the surface near the edge.
